The lockdown is going to affect everyone in some or the other way. According to the experts, it is going to push the country into an economic crisis, hence, affecting the future of the nation’s children as well, especially the underprivileged ones. The privileged kids studying mostly in the private institutions are being guided by many, are able to attend online classes, get the required study materials, and get assistance through online teaching, whenever needed. This way, the institutions are trying to keep up with the studies of children. However, the underprivileged ones, who are not a part of such institutions, or are not able to access the online learning portals due to the lack of resources, are missing on the education and a chance of learning. This is ultimately going to put a brake on their dreams, their development, and their equation with their studies. Apart from studies, the overall development of these kids is also getting hampered, because, the kids are missing out on social interactions as well as meeting with their friends and teachers and interacting with them.
The underprivileged kids are also lacking as their parents are struggling financially to cope up with their daily needs and hence are not able to give them all those smart learning resources in this pandemic. Also, they are preparing themselves to leave back to their hometown and this scenario creates a heart drop for everyone and is affecting the children’s future too as there is no guarantee whether those families would return back and the kids will again get a chance to study or not. While some are loaded with all kinds of prevention material from this virus, some children are not even able to breathe in what’s going on in the habitant. Therefore for such children, their life and future are at stake. But as it is said, “There is hope in every ray of light”, so we also hope that this pandemic comes to an end soon and the future of kids and each one of us get better.
